### Step 1: Download the IPython Installer

1. Read through and agree with the License Agreement terms presented during setup before proceeding further!

4. Choose where you'd like IPython installed (default is C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Continuum\Miniconda3 by default). Be careful not to overwrite existing Python installations.

5. Wait for the installation process to complete; this may take several minutes depending on your system specifications.

### Step 4: Add IPython Executable Path to System PATH

1. After successful completion, you'll be prompted with a message asking whether you'd like to add IPython's executable path (C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Continuum\Minicona3\Scripts) and Python interpreter paths permanently system-wide or just for your current user account.

2. Select 'Add both' if you want all users on this machine who need access to use these tools without having them reconfigured every time they log in again:

b' Click Advanced system settings from the left-hand side bar.

c' In 'Environment Variables', under 'Path' on the right, click New...

d' Paste C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Continuum\Miniconal3\Scripts into 'Variable value:', then OK your way back up through all dialog boxes until you see 'System Variable Path' listed at bottom; there should now be two entries for Python executable directories - keep both present but move them above any existing ones starting with C:\Program Files etc.

e' Restart your shell or restart Windows if prompted.

### Step 5: Verify IPython Installation

1. Open a new Command Prompt, PowerShell, or Anaconda Prompt (depending on how you installed Miniconda/Anaconda) and type `python --version` to ensure Python is properly recognized by the system.

2. Next, run either of these commands depending on whether pip was included during installation:

- For MinGW users: `pip3 install ipython`

- Otherwise (using Conda or Miniconda): `conda activate base; conda envs --list | grep ipython || conda create -n myipythonenv ipython`

3. Finally, execute either of these commands to launch IPython:

- In MinGW: `python -m IPython`

- Else: `IPYTHON_STARTUP=~/.ipython/ipythonrc2 %USERPROFILE%\.conda\miniconda3\bin\activate myenv; ipython`
